Helen Ann Wallach (nee Burns)

Much loved wife of Jarod and mother of Izaac, Jacob and Francesca. A treasured part of the Burns and Wallach families. Daughter of Lucy and Stephen, Sister of Jamie and John. Daughter in Law to Margaret and Lachlan, Sister in Law to Callum, Hagen, Sacha, Travis and Lara, Andrew and David. Aunty to Anika, Corin, Nico, Elina, Quinn and Micah.

Taken too soon after a short illness, aged 41. Gone to be reunited with her baby girl.

An amazing wife and mum, a strong-hearted daughter and sister, a warm and caring nurse, a loving and generous daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin, and friend. Helen was as her name means, “a shining light”. Helen had a fun and mischievous twinkle about her. She had a super-quick wit, and amazing perseverance and determination. Her family meant the world to her. She adored her boys and was so proud of who they are growing up to be.

Helen, you will be deeply missed.

Helen will be laid to rest in a plain pine casket and the family invite you to write on it with your messages of love and farewell to Helen. Gee & Hickton’s are located on the corner of Knights Road and Cornwall Street Lower Hutt.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made to Plunket (http://www.plunket.org.nz/help-us-today/) or the Cancer Society of New Zealand (www.cancernz.org.nz/help-us/).

A funeral service for Helen will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 61 Waiwhetu Road, Lower Hutt at 1pm on Friday 30 November. The service will conclude with an afternoon tea and we would be grateful if people could bring a plate of food to share. Following this people are invited to join the family for the burial at Akatarawa Cemetery.
