Loved wife of the late F Peter Bethell and friend of the late Jocelyn who as Peter's wife was mother of their three children, Alison, Bruce and Graham. Carol became an instant wife, mother-in-law and grandmother. Loved twin sister of Melva (deceased) and sister of Noel and Diane (deceased). Loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Loved cousin of clan Farman. Great friend of Tahana Waipouri Voykovic and husband Anthony whanau, Pukekohe.

Carol lived life with respect and embraced the philosophy of arohanui.

A service for Carol will be held in the Cockburn Street Chapel, cnr Onepu Road and Cockburn Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington on Thursday 8 December, 2011 at 2:00pm followed by private cremation.

Carol’s ashes will be transferred to Grahams Funeral Services, Tuakau for interment to join Carol with Peter. An unveiling of Service Memorial plaques will be held later followed by a celebration of Carol and Peter's life together and remembering Jocelyn a true and devoted mother.
