On August 29, 2011, peacefully at Parkwood Rest Home in his 70th year.

Dearly loved and cherished husband of Mary, much loved father and father-in-law of Mark and Anita, and David. Loved special brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Dave Tipene, Stephen Paling (deceased), and Patrick. Loved uncle of Leah, Damon, Felicity, Natalie, and Matiu. Special family friend of John Strassmeyer.

Thanks to staff at Parkwood Hospital, Diabetes Centre, Haematology and Bone Marrow Unit, and Dr. Harty GP.
