On April 2nd 2011, at Manor Park Private Hospital, Lower Hutt.

Dearly loved husband of Philomena. Pat died peacefully in the company of his family, a week after his 60th wedding anniversary and three days before his 86th birthday.

Loved father and father in law of Patrick McCabe and Veronique Vervoort; Michael McCabe; John and Anne McCabe; Stephen and Edda McCabe; Mary and Lee Quayle; Kathleen and Michael Frude; Bernadette McCabe and Joseph Mitipelo; and Fiona McCabe.

Beloved Grandfather of Fiona and Aaron Tricker; Emily Quayle and Aza Calver; Thomas and Rita McCabe; Madeline McCabe; James McCabe; Brendan McCabe and Danielle Horsley; Louise McCabe; Danielle and Nathan Horne; Caleb Frude and Keryn James; Hannah Frude; and Angus Mitipelo.

Beloved great-grandfather of Hamiora, Natalia, and Noah McCabe; and Amelia Tricker; and two more, whose arrivals are imminent.

Loved and respected brother and brother in law of his extended McCabe and Pedersen families, and loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews, and their children.

The family express their profound gratitude to all the staff at Manor Park Hospital for their care of Pat and compassion to the family over the past six years.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Wellington, PO Box 39-393, Wellington Mail Centre, Lower Hutt 5045 would be appreciated or may be left at the Church.

Pat's Requiem Mass will be held at St Bernadette's Church, 194 Naenae Road, Naenae on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 11.00am (Concelebrants please wear white stole) followed by burial at the Taita Cemetery.

Pat's Vigil service will be held at the St Joseph's Chapel, Mercy Villas, 17 Gibbons Street, Upper Hutt on Tuesday evening at 7.00pm.
