Passed away peacefully on 6 August 2010 at Parkwood Lodge, Waikanae, surrounded by his loving family, in his 90th year.

Dearly loved husband of 67 years and soulmate of Joyce

Cherished dad and grandad of Margaret(Dec) Joy & Michael Connell with Josephine, David, Michelle, Jeremy, Joanna, Peter, Sarah, Janet & Brian Adams with Grant, Jonathon, Matthew, David, Sue & Brian Wilson with Kate & Simon, Paul & Conny Campion with Ryan & Brittany, Libby Campion and Rick Lowe with Andrew, Michael, Hannah, and great grandad to his 14 great grandchildren.

The family wish to Sincerely thank the nursing staff at Parkwood Lodge for their wonderful kindness and support to John in his last few months.

With John`s vision, inspiration, encouragement and help from others, he established El Rancho (Waikanae Christian Holiday Park) in the 1960`s alongside the Waikanae River.

A service to celebrate John`s life will be held at El Rancho ( Waikanae Christian Holiday Park), Kauri Road, Waikanae on Wednesday 11th August, at 2.pm, followed by Burial.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to El Rancho to sponsor children at El Rancho Camps.

John will lie at Pinewood Lodge, El Rancho, where Friends are welcome to call by to pay their respects to John and visit family before the Funeral from 10.00am Tuesday.
