Walker, Betty (nee Shackleton)

Betty passed away peacefully and gracefully holding hands with her loving family on Sunday 18th October 2009, aged 83, in Wellington. Formerly of Havelock North and originally from Baildon, Yorkshire, England.

Devoted wife to the late Les for more than 58 years; a much loved and treasured wife. Loved and very much cherished mum of Sue and son in law Richard Domanski. Adored Grandma of Yuri and Tereska; she brought so much love and fun into their lives. Youngest daughter of the late Arthur Vale and Mildred Shackleton; Loved sister and sister-in law to Doreen (dec), Doris and John (both dec) Jack (dec) & Audrey, Irene (dec), and special aunty to all her nephews, nieces and extended family, all back home in England. Respected and loved friend of many; both in New Zealand and overseas.

Betty will be farewelled in the Cockburn Street Chapel, cnr Onepu Road and Cockburn Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington on Thursday 22 October 2009 at 3:00pm followed by private cremation.
