Van Dyk, Johannes Jacobus (John): On 23 February 2009 at 12.30am, peacefully at Intensive Care Unit, Wellington Hospital, aged 80.

Dearly beloved husband of Phemia, brother of Henk (deceased) and Johanna Tuck (Tauranga); brother-in-law of Lize Verdegaal (Netherlands), Catrien Bennik (Netherlands), Tony Bennik (Australia) and Harry Bennik (Levin); dearly beloved father of John and Vivienne (Auckland), Yvonne and Mike Hailes, Lisa and Bruce Lee, Michael and Sharyn (Australia), Peter and Jayne, and Philip. Dearly beloved Opa of Joshua, Cale, Samantha, Jared, Christopher, Jasmine, Sarah, Tayla, Amie, Daniel and Jayden.

A requiem mass will be held at St Patrick's Church, Childers Tce, Kilbirnie, on Wednesday 25 February at 10.30am followed by a burial at Makara Cemetery.
