We remember Arthur Brown as a loyal man, an enthusiastic man; a man with a practical faith who loved to help those closest to him and those he hardly knew.
His wife, Betty, met Arthur when she and her friends went to a dance and of the four boys they met, the boy with the twinkling brown eyes was the one she was struck by. Those twinkling eyes were remembered by many friends too.
Betty, Gordon and Gail, Diane, John, Sam, Thomas, Ruth and Jimmy and Arthur and Sarah, Andrew, Hannah and James all remembered a husband, father, father-in-law, papa so fondly at the funeral. Friends too were able to share their treasured memories of Arthur.
Family in Scotland, Arthur's brother, Alistair and sister-in-law, Jean; Betty's sister, Anna McKibbin and their families, have shared their sadness at the loss of Arthur, so far away in Hamilton and Lanark, Scotland.
Thank you Dad for your supreme optimism, sheer determination and your full enjoyment of life. May the Lord keep you in his peace until we meet again.
