Bruce passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Son of Frederick and Shirley Buxton. Much loved husband of Hilda Lowery, father & father-in-law of Sam Buxton & Hannah Muldrew, Max Buxton, and Alice Buxton, brother & brother-in-law of Jill & Mike Cross, Steve Buxton and Margaret Smith, Linda Buxton and James Higham. Grandfather to Jack and Oliver Buxton. He was also a much-loved uncle and friend to many.

At his request, a private cremation has already been held, and then a gathering to celebrate his life is organised for 4pm 14 December, venue available via family. Bruiser has finished his final gruelling “bush walk”, crossed the swing bridge and taken off his heavy pack for the last time to rest.
