Tributes Online - Peter Sheridan
IN MEMORY OF

Peter George Sheridan

28/01/1952 - 12/08/2025

Peter George Sheridan passed peacefully in his sleep the morning of Tuesday, 12th of September. Peter was born to Peter Sheridan and Ina Hedley, and was siblings to Helen, Barbara, Dianne, James, and John. He is survived by his wife Norma along with three sons & partners, David, Andrew & Natalie, and Jeffrey & Tamin.

Peter was a loving, yet cheeky, child who grew up holding onto these qualities. He was often lovingly poking fun at people in a way where the receiver knew it was all in good jest. He loved to travel and explore his Irish heritage, being a keen historian of his family's heritage and genealogy. He could often be found having a nap, whether that be whilst watching TV or in the middle of mowing the lawns. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to orchids. He also enjoyed sports, both watching and participating in friendly games.

Peter had a not-so-ordinary walk through life, having suffered an aneurysm in 2001 that left him permanently brain damaged. Despite this, he fought to learn to talk, read, write, and walk again. During these times he explored different therapy activities, discovering that he was a talented artist and carpenter. Whilst his condition made it difficult to retain new memories, we are thankful that he had a wealth of fantastic memories from before that he was able to recall and reminisce on.

Peter was a survivor, and fought to carry on until the end. All while maintaining his cheeky, loving smile. We miss and love him greatly, may he rest in peace.

Messages to the Sheridan family may be left in the above blue Tribute Book tab.

A funeral service to celebrate Peter's life will be held in the Guardian Funeral Home Chapel, 4 Moorefield Road Johnsonville at 1.00pm, Monday 18th August 2025.
