O’SHEA, Joyce Elizabeth (nee Smith) – On 8th June 2025, at Huntleigh Home, Karori, in her 96th year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Des O’Shea.
Loving mother and mother-in-law of Robyn & Murray and Peter & Nina.
Loved youngest sister of the late Barbara Arthurs, Joan Simes, John Smith and Gerard Adams. Loved sister-in law to Des’s late siblings Edna Bowling, Phyllis Loggy and Shirley Gardiner.
Cherished and enjoyed by all her many nieces and nephews and wider family and friends.

Special thanks to the staff of Huntleigh Home for their care and support of Joyce in the last 16 months of her life and to the Nurse Maude in-home carers who all cared for Joyce with compassion, dignity and good humour.

Joyce’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Teresa’s Church, 301 Karori Rd, Karori on Saturday 14th June at 11:00am, thereafter private cremation. The Rosary will be recited in Church on Friday evening at 6:30pm.
