Reid, Jeffery Wetini,
(JR, Reido, Big Kahuna, Jeffro, Jedera)
was suddenly taken away from us, aged 58 years old, on Sunday the 29th of December surrounded by family at Wellington Hospital.

He was the soul mate and Husband of Amanda, loudest and proudest father of Jesse & Alexia, Reuben, Raquel & Sofi dog.

Youngest son of the late Kuini Temaro & Robert Reid.

Dearly beloved baby brother to Paul, Lois, Dru, Melvin, James, Lorraine (deceased) & Justina.

Brother in-law, ‘cool’ uncle, great uncle, nephew and adored friend to many.


Jeff’s family sends enormous aroha to all those who worked tirelessly and fought the fight for Jeff’s life till the very end.

In true Jeff fashion, a grand celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Friday 3rd January at The Street Church, 9 Hania Street, Mt Victoria, Wellington at 11:00am, followed by a burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery at 3:00pm and afterwards a celebratory get-together at Jeff’s family home.

Let’s honour Jeff with the most epic send off, celebrating his life the way he would have wanted, with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Though it will be hard to live up to someone as extraordinary as him, we will celebrate him in the biggest, most heartfelt way we can.
