SCOTT, Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Salmon) - 17 June 1921 - 22 December 2024.

Dearly loved Mother of Hugh Scott, Judith Gough, twins Malcolm Scott and Marian Scott-Rowe. Sister of Marian Hancock (deceased). Loved grandmother of Adrian, Susan and Richard Reeve and Jessica Gough: Rebecca Stevens, Richard Rowe: Nicola Ov, Julia Kalsi and Philip Scott. Loved Great Grandmother of Imogene Reeve, Barnaby and George Stevens, Marnie and Finley Rowe: Jade and Marcus Ov: Quinn and Sophia Kalsi. Loved aunt of Bobbie Sendall and Mike Hancock.

Mother was born in Jarrow, grew up in South Shields, County Durham, England. Her war years were spent in the Air Ministry in London and Harrogate (Yorkshire). After her training as a V.A.D - RN, she nursed in the burns unit in the naval hospital Hasler, and then to Brisbane, Australia. There she met her husband of thirty-five years, Stuart Scott of Dunedin. Dunedin was home from 1946 - 2005.

Her last years were lived, in very good health, in Sprott House, now Karori Village Metlifecare, Wellington. Words cannot express our thanks to the caring and loving staff of the above. Mother was so appreciative too.

Our Mother was a remarkable woman, known for her intelligence, strength, resilience, wise counsel and integrity. Our loving mother is at peace.

A private funeral has been held.
