Taru – Tekau Ariki – on 29th December 2023, died peacefully at Wellington Regional Hospital, aged 89 years.

Dearly loved wife of the late John Teavae Taru. A matriarch who will be loved, treasured and missed by us all.

Family Service will be held at PIPC Newtown, corner of Constable and Daniell Street, Newtown, Wellington on Friday 5th January at 6pm. Funeral Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of Tekau’s life will be held on Saturday 6th January at the same venue at 10:00am followed by her burial service at Makara Cemetery.
