ETUATA, Reverend Tom Tamatoa (QSM) Born on 14 October 1945, in Niue Island, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones in Wellington on Sunday 10th December 2023.

Loving husband of Akeletama Etuata (nee Mokalei). Much loved Father of Catherine & Keith, Tom Jnr (deceased) & Viola, Kelly & Nathan, Steve, Bev, Steph & Clinton and Vaughan & Fa’afou. Much adored son koe tama fakahele ha Rev Etuatatama mo Moale Etuata. Much beloved brother and brother-in-law of Aho Tolu (deceased) mo Valina (deceased), Edith Tamatoa (deceased), Folo and Motu Pahetogia, Peti, Meredith and Murray, Oriana & Adie. Adored Grandfather of Orion, Khyshion, Summer, Eden, Heavenly, Monuina, Tomiee and Brody Tamatoatama. Admired Great Grandfather to Zephaniah, Michaiah, Malachii, Zion, T.J, Luke, Malach, Mason and Havana.

Special thanks to all the Hospital Staff of Ward 2 at Wellington Hospital, who cared for Tom over the past month. Your support was greatly appreciated.

A special Family Service at PIPC Newtown, 55 Daniell Street, Newtown, Wellington on Monday 18th December 2023 at 5pm and Funeral Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of Tom's life will be held at PIPC Porirua, 207 Champion Street, Cannons Creek, Porirua on Tuesday 19th December 2023 at 10:00am.

Tom will lie in state at his home at 5 Ranfurly Terrace, Mt Cook, Wellington from Wednesday 13th December until Sunday
17th December.

Following the service, Tom will be taken to his final resting place at Whenua Tapu Cemetery, Porirua.
