Melissa (Mel) Clare Moates, previously Parkinson née Datson

Daughter of the late Geoff and Clare Datson. Loved Mum of Lily Moates (daughter of Robert Moates), younger sister to Bindy and Tim Datson. Stepdaughter of Barbara Collinson-Smith, half sister to Richard Datson and sister in law of Mark Coleman and Elspeth Campbell. Fun and eccentric aunt to Geoffrey, Ben, Kate, Tighe, Beau, Jonty and Kennedy.

A family only service has been held and a celebration of Mel’s life will be held in the near future for friends and family to remember Mel.

Thank you to St John of God care home in Karori for looking after Mel in recent years as she battled multiple sclerosis very bravely, until the end.
