GIBSON, MICHAEL PETER CECIL

Born July 30, 1940, Dunfermline, Scotland (during the Battle of Britain). Peacefully on January 8, 2022 at home.

Dearly loved and loving husband of Kristin for 49 years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Amy and Robert Orr, Eleanor and Laki Laban, Imogen Gibson and Sean Thompson. Adored Grandpa of Emily, Piperita, Leo, Phoebe, and Alexandra. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Vicky and Piers Bateman, and Nick and Charlie Gibson, Bob and June Strickland, Annesley Kingston, Bill and Lyn Strickland. Much loved cousin and uncle to 15 nieces and nephews in England, Australia and New Zealand.

Sincere thanks to the staff at Kelburn Northland Medical Centre, Wellington Cardiology Services and Wellington Hospital who have provided wonderful care.

Michael’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St Teresa’s, 301 Karori Road, Karori on Thursday 13 January at 10:00 am, thereafter interment at the Makara Cemetery.
