Gordon Ross Clifton - (Dr Ross), MBChB, FRCOG, Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM), Born at Stratford 30-11-1922, Died peacefully at ER Hospital, Stratford on 23-07-2007.

Beloved and dearly loved husband of Phyl. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Ranald and Robyn, Rod and Maree, Pip and Roger, and Nicky. Revered and respected Grandfather of Kate, Cam, and Willie; Robert, Graeme, Scott, and Amy; Catherine, Kim, Jenny, and Sarah. Loved surviving brother of Allison Van der Oest, the late John Bowie (Peter), and the late Graham.

Ross's funeral will be held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Regan Street, Stratford on Saturday 28 July 2007 at 10:00am. All of Ross's friend are warmly invited to the farewell and celebration of his life. A private cremation is to follow.

Ross's family acknowledge with gratitude the ongoing and loving care given to Ross over the last four and a half years, and especially the medical staff of New Plymouth and Stratford Hospitals, Avon Medical Centre, and Elizabeth R Rest Home.
