Margaret Frances Woods

Passed away peacefully, in the company of family, at 3am on 28 January 2021 at Wellington Hospital. Dearly loved wife of John Woods for 62 years. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Marianna, David and Kylie, Peter and Cecilia, Johanna and Jonathan, Antony, Sean and Susan. Wonderful Nana to her 16 cherished grandchildren. Beloved best friend and sister to Mary (Sydney) and Kathy (dec) and a loving aunt. A good friend to many.

Special thanks to Dr Ciandra Keenan and the Miramar Medical Centre, Wellington Free Ambulance and Wellington Hospital Ward 7 team and Catholic Chaplains Lizzie, Kate and Sr Rachel for their outstanding care of Margaret and her family.

The rosary was on Monday 1 February at 7pm at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Childers Tce, Kilbirnie . The requiem mass celebrating Margaret’s life was held at St Patrick’s on Tuesday 2 February at 11am, followed by burial at Makara Cemetery.
