KOAT Afra Cornelia (formerly Praat) of Levin.

Peacefully on January 29th 2013 at Palmerston North Hospital, aged 89 years, surrounded by her family.


Dearly loved wife of Jack and the late John (Jan) Praat.

Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Nicolaas, Adriaan & Linda (dec), Margaret & Frank, Anna & Ove (dec), Nelly & Randall, John-Paul & Susan, Gerard & Megan.

Loved Oma of Natalie, Heidi, Virgina and Gerard; Nicola: Angelique, Adam, Jeremy, Gareth, Christian and Robin; Stefan, Anna, Maria and Arne; Ingemar, Abbi and Sven; Maddy and Annika; Georgia; Kieran, Matthew and Hamish; and her 22 great grandchildren.

Fondly remembered by the Koat family, Diana & Richard, Jackie, Andrew & Tracey, Gerald & Pam, and their children.

A Rosary for Afra will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall, Durham Street, Levin on Friday 1st February at 7.00pm followed by a Requiem Mass on Saturday 2nd February at 10.30am, thereafter burial at The Avenue Lawn Cemetery, Levin.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart Foundation would be appreciated and can be left at the service.
