On January 22, 2012, in Ward 27 Christchurch Hospital, after a sudden illness.

Dearly loved wife of the late Doug (Douglas).

A dearly loved and much cherished mother and mother-in-law of Christine; Malcolm and Robyn; Lyndsay and Peter King; Rodney and Carole.

A greatly loved and respected grandmother (Grammy) of Nicki Sullivan and Gyaney Pradhan, Michele & Svend Petersen, Jo and Ben Lander; Jeremy and Becky Edwards, Aaron Edwards and Casey Murphy; Jason and Gemma King, Steven King, Vanessa King and Michael O'Donnell; Rachel Edwards, and Ellie Edwards.

A very much loved great-grandmother of Freya and Sebastian Petersen; and Emma Rose Edwards.

Rest in peace

A huge thank you to her neighbours Pat and Ken, to Raylene and Heather and all the care staff from Health care, Dr Davies, and especially the ward staff of wards 23 and 27, thank you for your care and loving compassion over the last week, especially to Mr Elliot and Mr Steve Williams - mum thought the world of you.

A private celebration of Evelyn's life will be held in the Harewood Crematorium Chapel, 507 Johns Road, Christchurch, on January 27, at 1.45pm.
