Floratos, Ioannis (John)
On 18 December 2011 peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice in his 80th year surrounded by his beloved family and very close friends.

Very much loved husband of Vasiliki (Vicky), beloved father and father in law of Helen and Raymond Matias. Absolutely adored grandfather (Papou) to Vicki, John and Natalie. Adored son in law of the late Eleni Kyriazi. Beloved son of the late Konstantinos and Natalia Floratos, Romania. Loving brother of the late Menelaus, Petro and Sultana (all deceased). Much loved brother in law of Dimitri Burluc (all from Romania). Symbetheri Dimitrios (dec) and Natalia Matias. Loved and respected cousins of Emanual and Angelica Christinidis, Cleo Nitsola and their families all in Greece. Deeply treasured friend of Jim and Nicky Christie. Proud godfather of Elizabeth Stavrinos and Coumbaro of George, Helen and Maria Stavrinos and Coumbari Lazarous (dec) and Stella Haralambos and the late Eleni Samiotis.

You are forever with us in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Greek Orthodox Church of Wellington, The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and the Greek Orthodox Church of Lower Hutt, St. Nectarios and Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Special thanks to Mary Potter Hospice, the dedicated doctors and staff who have cared for John in his final days.

A service for John will be held in the Greek Orthodox Church, The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, Hania Street, Mt Victoria, Wellington on Thursday 22 December 2011 at 11:00am thereafter to Makara Cemetery.
