Aged 90 years, on Friday 9 September 2011 at Wellington Hospital.

Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley. Loved father and father-in-law of Anne and Trevor Gardiner (Auckland), Robert and Adelle (Blenheim), Janet and Charlie Dunbar (Wellington), and Fiona and Ross Newson (Wellington). Loved grandad of Brent and Jeremy; James, Julia and Lachlan; Liam and Connie; Richard, Philip, Robert and Andrew; and his great grandchildren.

A thanksgiving service for Jim will be held at the Khandallah Presbyterian Church , Ganges Road, Khandallah, on Tuesday 13 September 2011 at 11:00am and will be followed by a private cremation.
