Peacefully at Wellington Hospital on 15 May 2011 after a brief illness in his 90th year.

Loving husband of Kath. Loving father and father in law of Clive and Paula, Pamela and Edward, Joy and Ewan. Loving granddad of Paul and Shelly, Marie and Ben; Jennifer and Ben, Annette and Kent, William and Sharnee; Lillias and Lawrence. Great granddad to Millie, Edison and Ruby. Loved Uncle Bill to Marianne and Alex (dec) Kelly, Noeleen and Lance Moir, Alison and Robert Muggeridge, Ron and Kathy Stanley, Noel and Susie Stanley and families.
