Suddenly on 18 April 2011 at Wellington Hospital. I was so lucky for 40 years to have the best husband, best friend, soulmate, hero, rock, and protector, Thank You - Lyn.

Loved son of the late Gordon and Dawn Avenell, and son-in-law of Jim and Ivy King. Dearly loved brother-in-law of Andrew and Pam. Cherished uncle of Karen and Wayne, Nic and Paul. "Great" great uncle of Jayden, Shaun, and Cameron.

A service to celebrate Neil's life will be held at the Karori Crematorium Main Chapel, Rosehaugh Ave, Karori on Saturday 23 April 2011 at 11:00am.
