Writer and Retired Teacher of Makara Beach; at Wellington Regional Hospital on Sunday 13 March 2011, aged 81 years.

Loved daughter of the late Harold and Alma du Fresne and former wife of the late Michael Hitchings. Remembered with affection by her many cousins, colleagues, friends and former pupils.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Wellington Free Ambulance, PO Box 601, Wellington would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

A service to celebrate the life of Yvonne will be held at the Cockburn Street Chapel, cnr Cockburn St & Onepu Road, Kilbirnie on Thursday 17 March at 2pm, thereafter private cremation.
