ANTHONY, Irene Elizabeth (Elizabeth)
Died peacefully at Sprott House Karori on Saturday evening 16 October 2010
aged 85.

Since suffering a massive stroke 18 months ago Elizabeth has enjoyed a happy life at Sprott House being always cheerful and courageous. She had a smile for everyone. She was supported and encouraged by her extraordinary carers who loved her as their own. Heartfelt thanks to them.

Eldest daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Gorrie) Waller and loved sister of John Waller (Foxton) and June McKenna (Hastings), Robert and David Waller (both dec). Beloved wife for 60 years of Leslie Douglas Anthony whose ashes will be interred with her. Cherished mother of Lorraine, Peter and Sandy. Mother in law of Shaun McCarthy, Judy Anthony (dec) and John Church. Adopted Bet to Catherine Casey. Loving grandmother of Conal and Tomas McCarthy (dec), Patrick and Caitlin McCarthy, Jacqlin, Nicole and Kelsey Anthony, Sophie and Charlotte Church. Loved by her cousins and nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Sprott House Hospital Wing Social Fund would be appreciated and can be left at the church.

A Mass for Elizabeth will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 21 Hill Street, Thorndon, Wellington on Wednesday 20 October, 2010 at 1:00pm followed by burial at Waikanae Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in the same church on Tuesday 19 October at 8:00pm.
