Salzano Matthew Alex Roberts

Baby Matthew passed away peacefully in his mother Maggie's arms on Tuesday evening 13th January 2009 at 6.24pm surrounded by his dad Steve, and sisters Rebecca, Emma, and Olivia altogether with him on his final day.

He will be dearly missed and will always be with us in our hearts. He is now at peace in heaven and no longer suffering and will be a little angel forever. He brought such joy and happiness during his short life.

A special thanks to the SCBU team at Hutt Hospital, especially Shelley and Priscilla for ensuring Matthew had the best medical treatment possible to keep him comfortable, the staff at Te Omanga Hospice, Joan, Christine, and Anne, and all of Matthew’s various caregivers including Maggie’s family who have all helped in looking after him and supported us during his short time with us. Very grateful thanks also to the Ministry of Health who have been a wonderful and understanding employer in supporting Steve with flexible working and leave arrangements over the past 6 months.

Donations would be gratefully accepted by Te Omanga Hospice, P.O Box 30814, Lower Hutt or on line at www.teomanga.org.nz

Messages to ‘The Salzano Family’ can be sent c/o P.O. Box 44176, Lower Hutt or left below in Matthews’s tribute book.

A Mass to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held at Ss Peter & Paul, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt on Tuesday January 20, 2009 at 10.30 am followed by burial at Taita Cemetery.
