On 15 June 2008, suddenly at her home. Aged 82 years.

Loved and devoted mother and mother in law of Gordon and Heather, Trevor, Neil and Margaret, Mark and Barbara, the late Gary, and Tracey, and the late Brian and David.
Dearly loved Nana Vi of Maria and Euan Beattie, Andrew, Julie and Tim Cranshaw, Hayden and Katrina, Brett, Michael, and Brodie.
Dearly loved great Nana Vi of Natasha, Janelle, Bryce, and Fynley.
Dearly loved sister of Joyce.

A farewell and celebration of Vi's life will be held at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Oxford Street, Levin on Wednesday 18 June at 1.30 pm, thereafter burial at The Avenue Lawn Cemetery, Levin.
