Makarios, Katerina ‘Nina’, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 11, 2024, aged 89 years at Village at the Park in Berhampore, 49 days after losing her beloved George.

Much loved and devoted wife to the late George Makarios, loving Mother to the late Emmanuel Makarios and Antonia & Jimmy Bertos. Proud Nona/Yiayia to Katerina & Jeremy, Demetria & Darin, Zoi, Vangeli & Ashleigh, Georgina & Jimmy and Liana.

Adoring great grandmother to Marco, Lorenzo, Giorgio, Dion, Madisyn, Konstantinos, George, Angelo & Anastasia.

Our gratitude and thanks to the incredible doctors, nurses and carers at Village at the Park for their loving care of Nina over the last seven years. Your service and care has been tremendous and appreciated.

We will gather to farewell Katerina ‘Nina’ at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral “O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth giver of God), 3 Hania Street, Mount Victoria on Monday 22nd July at 10am, thereafter interment at Makara Cemetery.
