NELSON, Russell

On Saturday 17 September at 70 years, at Wellington Hospital, after a sudden illness, surrounded by family. Son of Alex and Jean Nelson, loved husband of Denise, loved and respected dad and father-in-law of Hamish, Maggie, Hannah, Terry and Erin, and adored granddad of Jennifer and Abby. Trusted friend of many.

The family deeply thank Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter, Marton emergency services, the Bradleys, and all involved at Wellington Hospital. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Marton, would be appreciated and may be handed to the family, or posted to PO Box 139, Marton.

A funeral to celebrate Russell’s life will be held at Guardian Funeral Home, 4 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville at 2pm on Friday 23rd September 2022, followed by a private cremation.
