SINCLAIR, Barry Whitley (BWS), MNZM

Barry passed away on 10 July 2022, aged 85 years.

Barry is survived by his two sons and their partners, Mark & Christine and Jeremy & Jane, as well as his grandchildren Nicholas, Christian, Max, Lucy and Harriet.

As Bill Francis accurately wrote in his book 'The Barry Sinclair Story', "Pursuing excellence has been Barry's mantra for close on 80 years. Whether training on his own in the cold of a Wellington winter, having constant throw-downs from willing training partners; or at 79, wetsuited up and ploughing through the Takapuna waves on a chilly afternoon, this pocket dynamo has been an inspiration on how, with a mix of motivation, perspiration and dedication, you can soar with the best."

A Memorial service for Barry will be held at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road, Northcote on Tuesday 26 July, 2022 at 11am.
