SAMASONI, Makerita (Margaret): It is with our deepest sorrow that our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and sister-in-law Makerita (Margaret) Samasoni of Lyall Bay, Wellington passed away peacefully 29 January 2022, at the age of 88.  

Makerita was the devoted wife of Moemalo Joe Palelei Samasoni (dec); mother to Samson, Anne, Martha and Sharon; grandmother to Noura, Kelynge, Ben and Marco; sister and aunt to the Seupule family; sister-in-law and aunt to the Palelei family; and an in-law to the cherished families of Atafu, Tokelau.  

Go on peacefully Makerita in your journey, God now has you in his keeping.  The Lord is your light and your salvation.

At the family’s request, Makerita’s funeral is open to vaccinated people only and vaccine passes must be shown upon arrival. Numbers able to attend are limited and you will need to ‘Register to Attend’ this funeral via the blue Register button at the bottom of this notice.

Makerita’s funeral memorial service will be held on Wednesday 2 February 2022 from 10am, followed by Morning Tea, at the Cockburn Street Chapel, Cnr Onepu Road & Cockburn St, Kilbirnie, Wellington and thereafter interment at the Whenua Tapu Cemetery.
