After a few years of compromised health, with recent hospital diagnosis of end-stage Parkinsons and no treatment available, Dad made the decision not to take any more life prolonging meds. I brought him back to his home at CHT Peacehaven for last days of care; he passed away on Sunday 24.1.2021.

I don’t have many words at the moment, just lots of feelings and most of all gratitude for having had such a lovely, complex Dad and so much time with him. Dad, you were teaching me right to the end with your courage, determination and grace.

Your kids and grandkids, wider family and friends will remember your stories and humour, hospitality and care, achievements and creations, work ethic and vision.

Your wish was that St Peter would greet you at the gates with a Harley to adventure on - I hope you are out there now gunning it on a blue sky highway.
