On 29 September 2026 peacefully at Wairarapa Hospital, in the presence of family.
Aged 93 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Betty for almost 65 years.
Loved father and father-in-law of Lance (dec), Evan and Sue, Stephanie and Richard.
A loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
A special thanks to Dr Tirkey, all at Carter Court and the Drs and staff Wairarapa Hospital for their recent care of Doug.
A service for Doug will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Road, Carterton on Friday 2nd October 2026 at 11.00am followed by burial at the Clareville Lawn Cemetery.
