Passed peacefully one hour before his 96th birthday.
Greatly loved husband of Hilary,
Father of Athena, Diana and Julia.
Grandfather of Charli and father-in-law of Neil.

A free spirit and thinker who emanated a joy of living and magic that was infectious to others. An adventurous, creative, curious minded, witty, loving, humble and loyal soul who will stay in our hearts. Alongside leading a rich and full life including voluntary work and political activism, he was a devoted and loving family man.

David was seen by many of his friends as a fine person deserving of every accolade and respect for living a life that was honorable, humane and greatly loved. He had the ability to relate to and love all individuals.

In accordance with David’s wishes a private cremation has been held.
