PLEDGER, Sydney James (Syd)

On November 27, 2023, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family; in his 92nd year.

Much loved husband of the late Dawn, dearly loved Dad and father-in-law of Steven, Rob and Sylvia, and the late Jeffrey, loved Pop of Natasha, Jessica, and Robyn, loving Poppy of Lucas, Scotty, Ruby, Grace, and the late Geneva.

Syd’s family would like to thank all of the staff of Dunedin Hospital Ward 8A, Prof. Chris Jackson, and Dr Janice Jensen for their care of Syd.

A service for Syd will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 11.00am on Friday, December 1, followed by private cremation. Messages to 33 Elmwood Drive, Mosgiel 9024, or on Syd’s page above where a live stream of the service can also be viewed.
