PARANJPE, Mangala

Passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022, at Highview Home and Hospital, Dunedin; aged 96 years.

Dearly loved wife of the late Gangadhar, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Shashikala and Wolfgang Voegeli (Germany), Suniti and the late Peter Arends (Canada), Shreekrishna and Bhairavi Paranjpe (Dunedin), and Shubhada and Lorenz Frey (Germany). Beloved Oma/Aji of Maya and Wolly, Mira and Rene; Sumukh and Stacey, Sukshma; Arun, Surina and loved great-grandmother of Mia, Rosa and Sofia.

To fulfil Mangala’s wishes, her body has been bequeathed to the Department of Anatomy, University of Otago.

Special thanks to all of the staff at Highview Home and Hospital for their unconditional support, care, warmth and understanding. 

Our charming warmhearted mother is remembered by so many for the affection she gave to all, in addition to her beaming smile.
