So terribly sad to let you know that our darling Ernie passed away, very peacefully in his favourite chair, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. We could not have wished for a more beautiful passing for a beautiful man. Most treasured, darling husband and best friend of Robyn, much loved Dad and Ernie to Jo, Chris, Josh and Jo von Pein, Jenna and Ben West. Adored and awesome Grandad and story-teller who gave the best cuddles to Brooke, Talia, Jack, and Carter; Caleb, Azaria, and Bella; Sonny, Archie, and Ivy; Macy, and Penny and Great Grandad to wee Marlow.

A gathering to celebrate Ernie’s full life will “kick-off” at 2.00pm on Friday, May 20, in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin.
