On March 8, 2022, suddenly at home; Aged 85 years.

Much loved husband of Elizabeth for 55 years, beloved father and father-in-law of Dave and Jill Rutherford, Alison and Paul Gillespie (London), Jude (London), grandfather of Jack, and Jesse; Luca, and Rosa Gillespie (London); brother of James Hanan, uncle of his nephews, nieces and their families.

A funeral service will be held in Knox Church, 449 George Street, Dunedin, at 11:00am, on Thursday, March 17, followed by private cremation.
