On November 28, 2008, peacefully at Dunedin Hospital, in her 93rd year.

Dearly loved wife of the late Peter (Ellis Marsden), loved mother and mother-in-law of Malcolm and Rachel (Christchurch), Diana and Paul Bowker (Brisbane), Brian and Sandra (Christchurch), much loved Joycie and Dranny of Marnie and Matthew, Seumas and Jane, Nadine and Mark, Nathan and Meredith, Kristen, Richard, Sara and Peter, and loved Great-Joycie to Tara Joyce, Harrison Ellis, Dominic, and Charlotte.

A service will be held in the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church, corner Highgate and Drivers Road, Dunedin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday December 1 followed by private cremation.
