On August 24, 2019 died after a short illness at Dunedin Hospital; aged 82 years.

Dearly loved wife of William (Bill)^, mother and mother-in-law of Gail Fairbairn and Murray Hamilton (Dunedin), John and Toni Adamson (Waikouaiti), cherished nana to Jeremy and Gemma Fairbairn, Hayden and Holly Adamson, Michael and Nicole Fairbairn, Sarah Adamson, David and Emma Adamson and great nana to Lilly, Macey, Ava, Ellie, Fergus and Holly, daughter of Aubrey^ and Hilda^ Jones, sister and sister-in-law to Les and Jan Jones, Bev and Evan Hopkins, Annette and Ron Currie, sister-in-law of Jean and Syd^ Varcoe, Robin^ and June Adamson and auntie and great auntie to her many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 3.00pm on Wednesday August 28, followed by private cremation.
