O'CONNOR, Lois May (nee Doudle)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family wish to advise that we have lost our dearest Mum on February 18, 2016, who, after a wonderful family reunion at the crib in January, had a short recent stay in Dunedin Hospital and peacefully passed away with family at her bedside just 4 days shy of her 90th birthday.

Dearly loved Wife of the late Stan O’Connor and much cherished Mother to Eddie & Lynn, Lloyd, Patsy, the late Kevin, Marie, Kath, Shona & Michael and much loved Nana to all her beautiful 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cherished sister of the late Anne, Joan, Lexie & Bryan Doudle.
Very special friend of Ron Gough, Harry Pitelen, Patsy Cotter, Neil Collins, Heather Walker, Lindsay Campbell and all her many friends she loved so much.

Special thanks to Heather and Louise and all the doctors and nurses for your wonderful care.

A service to farewell our beautiful Mum will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin, at 3.00pm on Tuesday February 23, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service.

Messages to 278 B Pine Hill Road, Dalmore, Dunedin 9010 or on Lois’ tribute page below.

Love is a gift all can afford.
Whatever the package, it’s a special reward.
So long as it’s wrapped with a hug and a kiss.
It’s something you wouldn’t want to miss.
