Dearly loved husband of the late Ruth. Darling father and father-in-law of Mary, Don and Margie, Alan, Duncan and Mary, Clare and David, John and Pip. Loved granddad of Hamish and Angus, Isla, Laura, Calum and Nina-Ruth Becker, Cameron, Alex and Hamish. Loved brother of the late Jean and John Goring-Johnston, Fr. Alan McKay (dec), the late Kevin and Louise McKay, Roy (dec) and Nina McKay, the late Neville and Alice McKay.

Sir Ian's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Hill Street, Thorndon, Wellington on Tuesday 25th February at 11.00am, thereafter interment at the Makara Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at St Teresa's Catholic Church, 301 Karori Rd on Monday evening at 7.00pm.
