on 26 July 2011 After a sudden illness - at Wellington Hospital, aged 78.

Very much loved mother of Gail, Liam, Brian, Murray & Steven.Loved and respected mother-in-law of Frank, Dorothy & Lisa.Loved grandmother of Kelly, Shontelle, Jess, Nicole, Katelyn, Maria, Suzanne, Nicholas. Loved great grandmother of nine great grandchildren.

Special thanks to the Wellington Hospital - Short Stay Ward staff who cared so wonderfully for Velda in her final hours together with those from A&E.

Thanks to the staff of Mt Victoria Lifecare, Newtown for all their efforts in keeping Velda comfortable in her 2 years at the rest home.

Velda's funeral service will be held at St Anthonys Church, 66 Falkirk Ave, Seatoun on Monday 1st August 2011 at 2.00pm and will be followed by a private cremation.
