Kurt Leopold Blum died on Sunday 26 October 2008, in his sleep aged 73.

Much loved Husband of the late Lily, father of Markus and Christoph, brother to Heini, brother-in-law to Gaby, father-in-law to Carolyn and Sarah and grandfather to Jordan, Jack, Lily, Zara and Madeleine.

Finally at peace after a long and difficult battle with Fronto-temporal dementia.

A modest and humble man who lived life to the fullest enjoying every day that he could. An adventurer, a mountaineer, a traveller, a fisherman, a businessman, and a family man. He will be remembered for his kindness of heart and his wickedness of spirit, deserving of our love and respect evermore.

The family would like to thank all those who assisted with his care during his final years.

Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated and may be left at the service. These will be passed on to the appropriate foundation researching into his illness.

A service will be held at St Teresa's Catholic Church, 301 Karori Rd, Karori, Wellington on Thursday 30th October 2008 at 12noon, followed by private cremation.
