On 21 July at Te Hopai Rest Home, aged 97 years.

Devoted wife of the late Emanuele, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Bruna and Joze (dec) (Croatia), Ferruccio and Melanie, Noemi and Glen (Brisbane). Cherished nana and nona of Alfredo and Damir (Croatia), Matthew (UK) Ali (Melbourne) and Chris, Gemma and Sam (Brisbane) and Elise. Adored great-grandmother and biznona of Matea, Mauro, Manuela, Toni and Julia (Croatia), Taya, Tyler (UK) and Tilly (Melbourne). Sister to Antonia (dec) and Bepo (dec). Aunt and great-aunt to many in Australia, Croatia, Serbia and Sweden. Devoted friend to many.

You leave a vast chasm in our lives now you’re not with us. Loved always and never forgotten.

Heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to the staff at the Te Hopai Home for the care and love given to Maria.

Maria’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St Anne’s, 22 Emmett Street, Newtown on Friday 30 July at 11:00 am, thereafter interment at the Makara Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in church on Thursday evening at 7pm.
