On December 3, 2016, peacefully at Marne Street Hospital, Dunedin; aged 98 years.

Much loved wife of the late Charlie. Loved daughter of the late Barbara and Robert Simpson. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of the late Ted and Molly Simpson, the late Madge and Charlie Port, the late May and Rowland Hunter, the late Bert and Ellen Simpson, Betty and the late Chas Simpson, the late Lucy Simpson, the late Eva Smart, the late Ron and Jean Simpson; the late Jim Hurrell, the late Arthur and Gwen Hurrell, and the late Rhoda Hurrell. Most loved aunt of her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a loyal friend over the years to many people.

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Wednesday December 7, followed by private cremation.
