On Sunday September 25, 2016 peacefully at Summerset @ Bishopscourt, Dunedin; aged 91 years.

Dearly loved husband of the late Doris Lesley, loved father of Dianne Shanks, and John and Wendy Gray (Blenheim). Loved Grandad of Clayton Shanks and Emma Butler (Wellington), Dean and Joanna Shanks (Surfers Paradise ), Simon Gray (Wellington), and Andrew Gray and Velissa Dimitrova (Prague). Loved Great Grandad of Liam; Jaxon, and Bayleigh; and baby Theo, and friend of Linda Gulliver, and Michael Shanks.

Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of the late John Gray (Wellington) the late Frances and Colin Brown (Timaru ), the late Helen and Harry Peggie (Balclutha), loved brother-in-law of the late Joyce and Tom McNab, loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.

A service for Theo will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street at 12.30pm on Saturday October 1, followed by private cremation.
