On 23rd August 2016, peacefully at Glenwood Masonic Hospital, Masterton. In his 98th year.

Beloved husband of the late Freda.

Special companion of Noleen

Loved father and father-in-law of Alexander and Sally (Greytown), Susan and Roger Fenwick (Carterton), Margaret and Stuart Scott (Wellington), Richard and Gillian (Masterton), Jane and Barry Simpson (Oamaru), Maryanne and Murray Reid (Auckland).

Loved ‘Grandad Mac’ of his 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a donation to The Sisters of Compassion, C/- P.O. Box 1474, Wellington 6140 would be appreciated and may be left in the Church foyer.

A Requiem Mass for Alex will be celebrated in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Cnr High Street south and King Street, Carterton on Friday 26th August 2016 at 1.00pm
followed by burial at the Greytown Lawn Cemetery.

Alexander and Sally, Susan and Roger, Margaret and Stuart, Richard and Gillian, Jane and Barry, Maryanne and Murray and their families together with Noleen and her family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support following the recent death of Alex– a loved and respected husband, Dad, Grandad Mack and friend to many.
To the staff at Glenwood Resthome, our grateful thanks for your wonderful care of Dad.
To those who gave donations to the Sisters of Compassion; and to everyone who travelled from near and far to be with the family at Alex’s farewell, we thank you sincerely.
